I wanted it to be good, I was even somewhat expecting it to come out and reading up on it on Bloody Disgusting, watching trailers and so on... but I just can't defend this piece of crap. The story is pretty generic but it held some promise. Angered by humanity, God sends an angel (why not send more of them? doesn't He have more than just two angels in heaven?) to perform an extermination of humanity. His choice is archangel Michael, who in turn rebels against God (because he loves humans so much), comes to earth, cuts his wings off and devotes himself to saving humanity from the impending doom™. God in turn sends in archangel Gabriel, who isn't such a nice guy and doesn't like people at all. Gabriel chooses to perform the extermination by possessing humans and forcing them to cause chaos and mayhem. There's much more to it, a woman carrying an unborn child that's supposed to be our saviour (they didn't really explain what the child's supposed to do), a kinda retarded guy that stands by her to protect her... most of it really didn't make any sense. The poster looks nice though, it has Paul Bettany wielding a submachine gun in one hand and a knife in another, you can't go wrong with that.... right? ;) Avoid this movie, it's as bad as it sounds and few (not so great really) action sequences don't really save it from long, pointless monologues, convoluted story full of holes and a general feel of being an unintended B movie. On the other hand, the game itself is really pretty, the ingame music is quite suitable (pleasant guitar chords for Terrans, creepy sounds for Zerg) and the sound samples are as usual with Blizzard awesome. All in all - I'm looking forward for this one to come out and definitely need to learn how to play it, else I'll get my ass handed to me everytime I play multiplayer :). It's pretty, full voiceovers and the graphics are real nice too. I can't really say about the story yet, since I played for a couple of hours so far. One thing that really bugs me is the autocombat thing - all the combat up till now required me to press only one button over and over again (with an exception of an occasional potion)... I really hope it gets more deep with time or I might just stop playing it.
